About Second Light

It’s the light of a new day.

Second Light is a place where each of our guests can find their turning point.

Second Light: a new dawn & a guiding path towards housing.

Speaking to the idea of renewal, hope, and new possibilities, Second Light represents a fresh start for those seeking stability, a guiding light towards healing and housing, and the reassurance that every life has another chance to shine.

Our Approach

Many hands, working together.

For the first time, the initiative is driven by community organizations coming together to operate out of the same building to meet needs more effectively.

The center aims to be a one-stop resource hub, with multiple service providers offering wrap-around support, including housing assistance, mental health services, and substance abuse resources.

The center also includes year-round, low-barrier shelter beds to ensure people have a safe place to stay while accessing the services they need and providing them a path towards housing.

(For a history of the project and further information, please visit Wichita’s Multi-Agency Center page.)

Our Partners

We are grateful to the providers who have come alongside to support this community effort to achieve functional zero homelessness in Wichita. Additional providers and services are being added throughout the construction process. If you are interested in providing support, please contact us at info@secondlightwichita.org.

For volunteer opportunities, please contact these organizations directly.
