Emergency Winter Shelter 2026-2027

Emergency Winter Shelter information for 2026-2027.

November, December, and March will follow a temperature-based model. Emergency Winter Shelter guests are welcome to stay night-by-night. In addition, Second Light will welcome EWS guests during daytime hours if air temperatures or wind chill are below 32 degrees or there is rain, sleet, snow, or hail at 50 degrees or lower.

January and February will welcome Emergency Winter Shelter guests 24/7 as consistent winter weather is likely.

Second Light will communicate Emergency Winter Shelter activations through the Coalition to End Homelessness’ web-based portal, Shelter Connect, to service providers and first responders.
